In an area famous for its quality animals, the ranch is home to a thriving population of wildlife and provide some of the best game hunting in the region. A couple of great perks that come with being the owner of the Rough Mountain Hunting Ranch are the ability to hunt your own all deeded private ranch, and the additional opportunity to take advantage of hunting income opportunities now available to the owner!
Rough Mountain Hunting Ranch is home to a large resident antelope and elk herds during migration, loads of deer, bear and occasional Oryx. Coyote, cougar and bobcat are also available for harvest. Private landowners now have the ability to sell hunting permits in New Mexico, including:
- Unlimited Over-the-Counter antelope hunt permits.
- Deer permits – allowed during regular hunts at owner’s discretion.
- Contiguous 5-day Elk hunt permits – allowed Oct. 1 to Dec. 31.
- 30-day Oryx permits – Oryx Hunt may pull permit any time the Oryx are on ranch, permit good for thirty days.
- 3-wells (all solar).
- 3-storage tanks.
- 7-Drinkers.
- 1,600+ acres of Rangeland Restoration.
- Excellent Cover.
- Small set of working pens.
- Good access off County Road with controlled access for entire ranch.
- No public roads on interior.
