A Season of Thanks Giving
For the Ranchline crew, crops, and ranch animals, too, 2024 has been an awesome year full of everyday blessings. Sunshine? Check. Plentiful pastures? Check. Doing work we love. Riding the dusty trail. Living in harmony with the land and the seasons. Check, check, check. We all (yup, the cows and sheep included) wake up each day, excited to get out and explore. Then after a full day, we’re content to enjoy some good rest before we do it all over again.
While we’ve known this all along, there’s a lot of research these days backing up how a gratitude attitude not only makes us feel better mentally and emotionally, it can improve our physical health, too. More restful sleep, healthier hearts, fewer aches and pains, a stronger immune system… are all gratitude benefits researchers have seen accompany daily gratitude practices. Plus, we think it rubs off on the sheep and cows, too.
So, with Thanksgiving coming up, we thought we’d go the whole nine yards, and write our gratitude list out right here, and share it with you. Another claim says that a written thank you can carry health benefits for the sender for up to a month! We thought that sounded like an all-around win.
And it got us thinking. What are we truly thankful for in this crazy, crazy world? It’s pretty simple, really. Our family, friends, ranch crew, and you. The connections and relationships we make along the way while doing the work we truly love are our greatest gifts, bar none. You all are the grease in the wheels, and keep us, and it all, going. You are why and how we do what we do, and we extend a sincere thank you for being a part of our Ranchline community.
Once we got going with our thank you list, we kept going. It catches on! So, here are a few more of the priceless things we are so thankful for…
Watching the sun light up the southwest mountain terrain at the beginning of each new day.
An afternoon spent rambling or riding along the winding ranch paths and roads.
Witnessing majestic wildlife in their element.
Exchanging tales of the elusive “big one” that continues to get away each hunting season.
A night spent gazing at the grandest canopy of stars you’ll ever see.
Gathering around a toasty fire with the people who matter most.
Watching each stunning season roll in and pass again.
A ranch style BBQ on a summer holiday.
Getting the best sleep you ever had.
We hope you join us in a season of expressing gratitude, and maybe it will become a healthy habit. We invite you to join us on social media, write and share something you’re thankful for, and enjoy the benefits all month long. We wish you a very happy and blessed holiday season and new year ahead!
